I am a wife and mother of three married children who have given me 11 wonderful grandchildren. I love to teach children and adults and have been teaching for over thirty years in various venues. I feel it is important to utilize my time with a child or adult because this may be my only opportunity given to me. God has given me a passion to reveal spiritual truth to young and young at heart. When I had the great opportunity to teach storytelling to teachers in Ukraine and Russia, I stressed the only curriculum you need is your Bible. The Bible can come alive when presented with passion in story form. This is how I teach Biblical truths to children through dramatic story telling.
As a mother and grandmother, I know rearing children is an enormous task. Teaching God's truths and Biblical character is difficult. I would love to help in this area, in any way I can, so I have prepared some short devotionals for children. I pray these will encourage and build strong Christians, the next generation, for our Lord.
My first book for children, Rosita Valdez and the Giant Sea Turtle, is the first in a series. It's geared for 3rd through 6th graders. Each book has an underlying theme and this one is lying. My second book, Rosita Valdez and the Attic's Secret, has sibling rivalry as it's underlying theme. You can look for it soon. The third book has stealing for it's underlying theme and the fourth is being afraid.
On the adult level, I have a romance that I wrote which has won first place in Everyone's A Reader contest. I'm happy to say it is being considered for publication. I have a flash fiction story, Boarding Pass, published and many articles appear in magazines.
